About
Slate Hub started as a group chat where four friends kept arguing about which tower defence game had the fairest difficulty curve. Eventually we got tired of losing those arguments in private and decided to put our notes online.,Everything you read here comes from real play sessions. We install a game, give it at least a few hours, and sometimes a lot more if it grabs us. No press kits are copied, no scores are handed out before we've actually finished a few levels.,We pick games based on what's interesting rather than what's popular. Sometimes that's a huge release everyone is talking about, sometimes it's a weird little strategy title with forty downloads that deserves more attention.,The site is independent. We're not owned by a studio or a publisher, and we pay for our own devices and data. If a game is dull, we say so, politely but clearly.
Daniel Fischer — Daniel has been reviewing mobile games for over a decade and still gets genuinely annoyed when a strategy game hides its best unit behind a grind wall.
