Emberfall Chronicles

Emberfall Chronicles is a proper role-playing game that respects its own story. You recruit a party of mismatched travellers and work through a continent falling apart at the seams. The writing is better than it has any right to be on mobile.

Battles are turn-based and lean on positioning and elemental matchups. Each character has a distinct role, and swapping party members to counter a boss is where the game shines. Gear customisation is deep without drowning you in menus.

It's a long game, easily dozens of hours, and it never nags you to hurry. If you want something to sink into on a commute, this is a strong pick.
